Scope of application: Clearly applicable to electric mosquito repellent products that evaporate active ingredients through the heating of absorbent core rods.
Core technical requirements:
The concentration of pyrethroid active ingredients should be controlled between 0.31% and 1.2%, taking into account both mosquito repellent effect and safety of use.
The medicinal solution needs to be clarified, without flocculent, layered, crystalline, or precipitated, and there should be no obvious smoke or odor during normal use.
Continuous effective duration ≥ 240 hours, mosquito knockdown time (KT ₅₀) ≤ 8 minutes, mosquito mortality rate ≥ 75% within 72 hours.
The creepage distance of the electric heater is ≥ 2.0mm, and it needs to pass a 2500V withstand voltage test. The operating temperature deviation under rated voltage should not exceed ± 7 ℃.
The product has no leakage after 24 hours of inversion and has passed the thermal storage stability test.
Labeling requirements: The packaging must be labeled with the name, content, production date, standard number, and "stay away from children" warning, and promotional language that exaggerates the efficacy is prohibited.
⚠️ General Safety Mandatory National Standard: GB 24330-2020 "General Technical Conditions for Safety of Household Sanitary Insecticidal Products"
This standard is a mandatory national standard that will officially come into effect on January 1, 2022, replacing the old version GB 24330-2009. It is a basic safety requirement that all household hygiene insecticides must comply with.
Core mandatory requirements:
The active ingredients must be registered and allowed for use by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and it is strictly prohibited to illegally add unregistered insecticidal active ingredients.
When mosquitoes are knocked down by electric mosquito repellent liquid (KT ₅₀), it must be ≤ 8.0 minutes to ensure the basic mosquito repellent effect.
Add a new requirement for methanol content limit, with a methanol content of ≤ 2000 mg/kg for water-based and alcohol based products, and clarify the minimum shelf life requirement for electric mosquito repellent liquid.
All products must undergo toxicology experiments to verify their safety and ensure personal health and environmental safety.

The electric heating driver of electric mosquito repellent liquid also needs to comply with the relevant electrical safety regulations of GB 4706.1 "Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 1: General requirements", and provide clear constraints on the product's heat resistance, insulation and other indicators.
Key points for identifying compliant products
Legitimate and qualified electric mosquito repellent products must have three core qualification labels on their packaging: pesticide registration certificate number, production license number, and product standard number. Any missing one of these labels is considered a non compliant product.
